Eli, the numbers you linked to show institutional holdings reported in March and June (mostly march). Those numbers don't tell us whether institutions have been net buyers or net sellers over the last 5 weeks. Based on the share price direction I would say they have most recently been net sellers of IDCC.

Therefore, it's not really correct to say "Institutional Holdings now up to 34.7%" because we don't know what the institutional holdings are doing now or last week or last month.

Carefull, this is a lagging stat that has no basis in reality today. Institutions are human and are pissed off. Our saving grace may be that IDCC with it's steep decline in market value, leaves room in institutional portfolios for accumulation back to core levels. That's if they believe in the story.
Generally the ENRON mentality prevails and they head for the hills. Moreover, the Russell 1K has less of an audience than the Russell 2K.
Conclusion: Absent significant developments in true factual business momentum(not management puffery) institutional figures are likely to decline.
