Dear Customers,

This letter is to inform you of some important changes to the aap Joints portfolio and operations.

Despite dedicated efforts by aap Joints GmbH, Dekra has, unfortunately, informed us that CE certification for the Mebio Knee and the TSS shoulder was not approved with immediate effect as of February 22, 2017.

This decision will affect our activities in a few ways. First, we will have to discontinue production of the Mebio knee and as a consequence, as well as of the TSS shoulder implant. In addition, and as a result of the product discontinuation, we will commence the termination of the aap Joints operations over the course of this year.

We understand that these activities will impact your business and we wish to ensure you that we will do everything in our power to limit the implications for you, as our valued customer, and we will, therefore, contact you in the next two weeks to discuss next steps and your options in more detail.

Should you have queries referring to your business with aap Joints GmbH, please contact us via email at customerservice@aap-joints.com or b.beyersdorff@aap-joints.com.

With kind regards,

aap Joints GmbH

Don't forget Eontec biodegradable magnesium business. Look at the gigantic JV with clouds metal (mainly focus on magnesium for now).

Note magnesium and zirconium (sponge) has intertwine connection.

This has all the setup for huge medical and auto business.

Since this is non-CE business, it is covered under cross license agreement. LQMT will effectively become Eontec west.

Not sure about the logic here.

Transferring manufacturing to the US is not the issue. It is meeting the European requirements.

Second, the US FDA approval process for implants is more severe in the US than the European approval process in Europe.

So, please explain a terribly confusing to understand post(s) on this topic. Obviously, I am missing a lot here and need your kind indulgence.

Thanks.
