What do you mean? What is the compensation package and where are you seeing this?

This leads me to a couple questions for MC on Thursday ...

1. What was the outcome of the America Makes 4027 project report in El Paso earlier this month? And, has business being initiated in 1Q17 as a result of the project conclusion? What business do you anticipate being initiated in FY17 as a result of the project conclusion?

2. What SGLB products, if any, are available to America Makes members either for free or significantly discounted through their membership?

The GE developed Compensation package is being offered free to America Makes members. I wonder if this is a serious setback for 3Dsim.

All the best,
Silversmith

Silver, I see this as a two step process. First is to provide software with the ability to simulate and predict distortion. Second is to provide software to compensate for the predicted distortion. The 3DSim software that was validated accomplishes the first step. The GE compensation package meets the second step.

To me the first step was the more difficult and more complex problem to solve. But once the distortion is predicted, then adjusting your build model to compensate for the predict distortion is a much simpler process. If the part is going to lean to the left, then attempt to "build" it leaning to the right so it ends up vertical.

Since GE is giving the compensation software away for free, I expect that it is not that complex or expensive tool of a tool to develop.
