Onions grow good also right on your window sill.

Hi Toofuzzy,

That has to be tough.

I'm pushing the envelope here. The plastic covering keeps the temps inside the cage warm. The soil temps are my main concern. The tomatoes are still alive and the leaves are a nice green color, the stems turning purple is telling me it's a little cooler than what they like. I really don't know if it will work or not? Since I collect my own seeds from heirlooms, I'm only out time and effort. In my case, that's a cheap commodity and I really like home grown tomatoes.

Most people don't put out tomatoes here until May. I've got a lot of plants ready for that too.
