Good idea! Painters are another good source for buckets. The joint compound used as mud in drywall finishing comes in them.

I recently discovered another excellent source for 3 gallon buckets. My daughter works in the bakery at the grocery store.

Truth be known? I've tried growing in buckets and small containers and haven't had much success. They get too hot and dry out too fast.
