I have long ago stopped being surprised at the large number of posters who don't understand that a well-run company - i.e. one that follows the rules - cannot discuss on a CC any material information that has not already been disclosed in writing (a PR, 8-K, 10-K, etc.).

It may be that too many posters have experience with poorly run OTC companies that have overly chatty managers. If I can personally pick up the phone and chat with a senior manager about where the company is going, I know to put my money somewhere else. If they don't care about the rules governing disclosure, there are likely a lot of other rules they don't care about either.

This isn't even remotely true. Tons of material events for major companies have been announced via conference call or webcast/presentation.
