Not always, someone with a free trade from their broker can dink your bid for one share costing you a commission and if one gets the rest filled in the following session it is a separate transaction so it will be a second commission. So you could end up with one very expensive share. Ha ha
Usually, when you see these one share trades that is what it is paint with a free trade. They painted AH and stuck you with a commission and one share.

What was interesting is that it was the last trade of the after hours. There were no further trades for the day.
