kvenne, Supposedly it is the DHA that will smell like fish. Vascepa, having no DHA will not smell like fish for that reason. Any product that has a fish smell to it contains some DHA. (You may already know this.)
Instead it smells and tastes like a fresh peice of fish.
A couple of the board have done the EPA 500 vsV smell/taste test. IIRC, one of the capsules had a sweet flavor that had a significant contribution to the taste as the contents of the cap. Which says that both should taste/smell of a light animal/non vegetable oil, benign and pretty characterless.
