I want a minimum of 2.75%, on DDR forward going, and 3.25% on DDR-2/GDDR-2, 3.5% on DDR-3/GDDR-3...

If 1.5% or less is offered as a FTC remedy, RMBS must sign the amigos to one-year, automatic-renewing licenses [cancellable at any time by either party] and appeal the FTC final decision immediately.
cheers,

re: Is there are a possibility for an industrial wide settlement ?

Hey Tripplejack,

Welcome to iHub. Good screen name, too. Cor would have laughed : ) Been away for several days so just catching up on the boards.

Think your proposed royalty rates seem right, and think anything is possible, but personally doubt the FTC or its remedy will cause an industry-wide settlement. The FTC doesn't care about saving face or Rambus's survival. It cares about expanding its influence in antitrust enforcement and intellectual property matters, primarily through sticking its nose into the workings of SSOs and the USPTO.

The cartel is emboldened and can wait years. The only immediate leverage Rambus has is the AT case. If Rambus is willing to accept the yet-to-be-defined FTC remedy and drop its AT complaint, then I think the cartel buys licenses. Otherwise, the litigation drags on and on.

Just my opinion.
