IMO - the U.S. healthcare scene is such a mess that any BP that depends on this market will be moving very cautiously. Universal Healthcare is gaining traction here and that will cut into their profit margins if we start paying the same price for drugs as the rest of the world.
That alone could be slowing partnerships talks with some companies. Better to work with Japan or Australia, or any BP with conservative, sustainable pricing structures.
