Just opened a schwab account myself...You can buy ibrc through them as well (had to decide on something because of td ameritrade..). Then today, I found out that schwab just lowered their commissions from 6.95 to 4.95/trade! Flat commission. No extra penny fees. And I think they might have even gotten rid of their account minimum.. Cant lie, I'm a little happy about such low commissions.
Options Express is very excellent, i used them years ago up until the USA kicked all the Canadian traders out. They shipped us all up to Virtual Brokers, their platform sucks and they charge big bucks for the ECN backcharge. they say they don't know what it is going to be for sub penny stocks so you sell 5 mil and you get $250. charge was crazy not sure if they have changed that
