#92947 RE: bocce #92940

Thank you, Bocce. The Newsweek article came out 3 days ago. Talk about raising false hope???
I hesitated to post it because: no mention of Anavex, states explicitly "No drug has shown ability to lessen this disease to any degree." So we know who's case they are building... and who pays for ads in mags like Newsweek (it's pulp, not a scientific journal)...BP.

Looks like their plan now is to test their drugs on younger population with no signs of AD to see if they can stave off a "calculated" or "predicted" percentage of the population who statistically would have gotten AD. That's about as low a bar as one can imagine to cross above to get your drug approved, no?

They are now fighting paper dragons, with paper weapons.

Here's the link if you want to read a disheartening, biased, agenda driven, article designed to blow smoke up the skirt of the public and especially sufferers and caregivers. Very irresponsible, imo, almost criminal - get the public to buy into the "there's no other hope" hype, and it will clamor for these phony trials with phony outcomes.

Saddest part to note: the Head of Alzheimer's Europe (Jean Georges) tweeted this like he was giving a gift of pearls.
