The narrower your eyes are the more you miss on what's happening with this company. If you are a LT investor for 10 years (which it seems like you are with what your saying in your posts) I'm sure these fluxes don't matter to you but if you have a ST position here, for even as long as to the EOY, these movements should matter to you. I'm sure you know as many of members do on here, I'm a day trader and occasionally hold positions for a day/a few days so these fluxes are exactly what I look for and play them both ways.

The simplified overall picture is they are burning cash rapidly and can't even afford their production of cars. They missed out on a beat because of Solarcity - that needs to raise some red flags right off the top. It dragged Tesla down as everyone knew it would but didn't factor it into the PPS. Another point as I mentioned earlier several times the raising of capital has been hovering and looming for weeks and no one paid any attention to how that would play out if they showed a loss in earnings. They need to raise capital and when that is the case the stock moves down just as this did today. The PPS is bracing for it.

This has seriously been the most inflated stock in the whole market for awhile now. The PPS should not be as high as it is for what the company is worth and how it's been performing in the Q's. It's repeatedly missed forecasts and taken losses left and right. The only thing that's been moving this up is the hype and band wagoners of the support of Musk.

I have no issues with Musk nor this company itself, however when it comes down to investing, stability and reaching milestones, are the keys; not stretching a company thin by saving another company that has been sinking for a majority of its existence and setting outrageous goals that are never met. All that does is create hype and inflate a PPS and when that happens and you have numbers that don't add up to what the PPS is trading at you get massive issues like the raising of capital and a falling PPS of 6.5% in one day and a total of 9.83% downward movement post earnings off what was "perceived" as "good". That aside, coincidentally the CFO that has been making things happen for the company and trying to turn it around is now resigning. This raises questions for everyone and should also include you.

As a note, I respect everyone and wish you the best however your trade and position is here. I, just as you, am stating my opinion and only wish the best and profit to everyone on here. I just wish you would've seen my view earlier and could've saved yourself a large red day here.
