But you did not have a president and treasury that were making it a priority or publicly stated fnf be freed from government control.

There is no concrete evidence showing that watt would go against a fnf be freed from government control.

It seems to me treasury and watt's view that fnf in a continued state of conservatorship is not a viable long term condition. Watt knows well that something needs to be done as fnf deplete their equity.

Watt is no better then Obama except he is a hypocrit who speaks from both sides of his mouth. There is no technical or financial reason to keep Fannie and Freddie in conservatorship. They produce more then $10 billions in profit.
The only reason to continue this conservatorship imprisonment of the GSEs is to use the criminal law called NWS to steal their profits each quarter and get away with it by defrauding their shareholders and the American public. Its plain out another government conspiracy to steal money. Might as well call it Fanniegate with the chief criminal in charge called Watt.

What if Trump and Mnuchin agree to give FnF back the extra cash from the swipe and gave FnF some bank lawsuit cash for recap? Could Watt and Mnuchin and Trump with his pen and cell phone come to an agreement on safer management of FnF through executive order?
You know just until congress got their chit together?
Go FnF
