It came out between the 22nd and 24th because GTE reported it, at the last possible minute, literally. I believe they had 4 business days in which they had to report the material event, that report then triggered the 8k.

Didn't anyone read the NR or the 8k

From the NR

today announced that the American Stock Exchange (Amex) provided the Company with a letter dated August 17, 2006

and from the 8k

On August 18, 2006 the Company received notice from the Amex Staff

So those thinking that the AMEX sent the letter in some grand conspiracy because there was good news being reported are sorely misguided. The news story hit the AP over the weekend after the letter was already received.

You should probably ask somebody at GTE, they got the letter almost a week ago, and didn't decide to disclose it until now.

As for the "association", could it be somebody at Caterham or Asia Pacific?
