Last month I bought my wife the normal X5 SUV. The dealer who I've had a long relationship tried to push me into the Hybrid EV model and I declined because I had thought wrongly that the batteries would hamper the storage area.

She convinced me it didn't and even at $10k more, with the government credits its overall cost wasn't a issue. As I was warming up to the deal she informed me that the driving distance was a whopping 17 miles before the engine took over. End of discussion.

How is the word, brand defined in this context? Depending on the answer to this question, the market-share forecast for electric vehicles in 2027 could be anywhere from 10% to 90%.

Might the wording be intentionally vague because the Audi forecasters actually have little idea what the electric-vehicle market share will be?
