I have to challenge the value of the "information" provided in this post.
I was not at the show, though I did receive an invitation to attend.
I do not doubt an Engel employee was with an E 110 running a plastic part.
Not mentioned was what kind of part (i.e, medical, automotive, etc. which I believe is totally relevant and of value, because it would indicate what type of customer is talking to Engel and the other attendees, including Liquidmetal.
I do not believe that plastics machine buyers would be asking about Liquidmetal at a show clearly targeted for plastics. Further, a knowledgeable person of plastics machinery (the type of customer Engel would seek out) would know that a plastics machine such as the E100 cannot readily switch back and forth between plastics and liquidmetal as your post clearly implies. A very expensive one time conversion would need to be made to each machine to "switch" from plastic to liquidmetal. "Switch between", by the way, means to toggle back and forth between plastic and liquidmetal. Clearly, not the case with a one time conversion of a machine.
Similarly, toolmakers for plastics machinery, of course, would attend this show. But, as everyone knows, tooling for liquidmetal parts as opposed to tooling for plastic parts require totally different design criteria, so, again, the toolmakers attending a plastics show are not going to pre-emptively address liquidmetal issues to a a plastics machine display unless they were groomed in advance. Again, this is not a die casting show.
Everyone on this board knows that additional purchases of Engel machines are necessary to grow the niche of the niche market which Engel described at its shows in 2016.
Of course, the sales manager of Engel Corona would not be giving out the quantity of machines they would be delivering to a private customer, especially to a stranger. Of course, he would know the number.
"Quoting more to LQMT too"......
Everyone has to wonder what this means.
In present state or wording, it certainly is not clear at all.
