That's incorrect. Settlement conference is not the same as a status conference. As I've pointed out before, no settlement Conference occurred with MS/PF despite those cases resulting in 2 settlements.
You have to read the article someone linked that day... it is not good for the defendants not to settle according to the judge, he is the one who initiates the conference and he strongly recommends to the parties to settle or there will be consequences like Injunction... I don't think Centrify Trustwave and DUO could afford that, they are not dumb... and if there is a mediation, we will know it soon.
Judge can make them try to settle, but he cannot force them. He's gonna tell them they could lose a lot more in costs as well as judgement. They are going to want to settle.
