I don't mean to be a nitpicker, I enjoy our back and forth, but this:

This sort of demonstrates my point: we were hearing the exact same thing about Clipstream II a few years ago. You remember, "sooner rather than later", "weeks not months" were all said in the context of debugging and rigorous testing of it, back in the day.
