The ratio of the trade types is actually immaterial. It could be 99% and it doesn't change anything. For example, almost all trades of 0.0001 NO BID stocks are done as riskless principle because the broker does not carry any inventory and they don't want to hold the stock for even one second in the trade, so they short sell to the buyer first and then cover from the seller immediately after. They will therefore routinely show 100% short VOLUME each day.

And inevitably some believe the stock is actually being massively "shorted" at 0.0001 and are just waiting for the squeeze...which of course never comes. I can't imagine how much money has been lost in that belief.
