Since we get nothing from D'Couto here is a positive.

I have been looking at Lithium Metal battery information and have posted some of the things here to the biggest shortcoming of the battery which is dendrite growth.

I never heard D'Couto talk to this aspect of the battery, maybe he is just a terrible marketer. But reading the project description on the DOE website there is a small tidbit that I did not remember reading initially. It states as follows:

"PROJECT INNOVATION + ADVANTAGES

In addition to utilizing existing manufacturing technology, the battery uses existing materials for the anode, cathode, the separator and the electrolytes. This reduces the risk of new materials adoption and testing. The technology also includes a unique approach using microchip geometry to control dendrite growth. The understanding acquired through the project will improve the manufacturing of the porous silicon, in particular the metallization process. This will help the company achieve target metrics on cost, and performance, and allow longer cycle lifetime for the battery.

If they have dendrite growth under control this is the major obstacle that has been solved.

So why have they not started the analysis ? Are they looking at this from a different angle before they do that ? Did they get a battery and are running it through a thousand charge/discharge cycles first ? If they did something like that this should count as being active.

D'Couto really needs to give us an update on all aspects of the battery, why is there not a section on the website for this ? All the other battery companies have comprehensive presentations about their batteries.
