Kaplan artificial gene

David Kaplan had nothing to do with the gene engineering, and genetic data is VERY easy to find. I also wouldn't minimize the 'internal sales' to the country of China.

I'm not personally worried about that aspect of things, but only wish to point out that anyone with a basic CRISPR lab (which they do in some high schools now) could at this point create what we have created (after a lot of trial and error).

The only impediment to doing so is time, money, and a sense of copyright/patent infringement. Countries have time, money, and some countries have less scruples.

Again, this doesn't concern me as part of Kraig's business model, as if we get our arses into gear, we can get our foot in the door with the people that would be wiling to pay for it.

I seen enough Chinese knockoffs to know that not everything works as advertised.

You are also talking about biological change that is not so easy to reverse engineer even using CRISPR, this is not a machine?

You are also talking about a decade of mutations in the worms, so how would you know when the natural change takes place.
