Well they'd certainly get to mass production levels quicker than we are...

That's why I don't think they are going to do dragon silk. I believe it will be for sports apparel while the American facilities will be for the most advanced strains. Kim stated a potential customer required US production and obviously that's the government and probably because of those very reasons.

"I think we should all get on the phone to our congressman and senators that this company needs to be bought out by the US govt."

lol..if you think progress has been slow so far, imagine what would happen when the gov takes over..

"Dragon silk is a strategic material."

not really

"Dragon silk and its progeny must remain on u.s. soil."

why?

"You don't think a couple of worms could not be smuggled out of Vietnam?"

they sure could..probably slightly easier than doing so from the U.S...

"It would be like stealing the plates from the mint."

not really

"The Chinese do billions in knock-off products every year."

and they will do the same with spider silk..the U.S. does not, will not, and cannot stop them...

"This can not fake into the wrong hands"

it most certainly will..

"Disaster for KBLB, Disaster for our country."

not necessarily

"any Vietnamese farmer could make a couple million by just taking 2 of the many thousands of worms at the facility."

they would do it for 500 bucks

"Don't care to imagine the Chinese armed forces wearing dragon silk uniforms.
Real Scary!"

doubt they ever would..they've got plenty of people to spare..
the old joke is that the U.S. and china go to war..the first week, 100 million Chinese surrender..the 2nd week 200 mill surrender..the third week 500 mil surrender...the fourth week, the U.S. surrendered..

"The Chinese do billions in knock-off products every year."

A perfect example of this is to walk into any $ store. A euphemism for Chinese store. Nothing says i value your friendship more then giving them the gift of a one dollar plastic staple gun made in china.

The fact is they may already have the proof of concept thanks to kblb and the template for their scientist to experiment, and duplicate a superior silkworm...Their military may already have multiple strains.Their likely to keep it all a secret. This is why its important to know the results of the army's trial.
An acceptance or denial could give a clue as to china's progress.plus any knowledge our intelligence agencies have gathered.

The worrisome part is they already have the manpower and infrastructure.Any thing they can get from VN would be just icing on the cake... Just an opinion
