I seriously doubt that will happen any time soon if ever. They would have to compensate existing shareholders with shares in the spinoff company. You'd end up with more shares but the same earnings. It's more likely they could take some of the company shares out of circulation by converting them into convertible preferreds like Paul Rosenberg did with mCig. That takes them out of the undiluted OS and increases EPS because there are fewer shares (preferred shares are not included in OS). That would be a huge move for shareholders. JMO
