Yes, well there were some really smart biostatistics guys there who were very generous with their time. Ocyan, io, hirogen, clarkster (iwfal). I'm sure I'm forgetting some.
But I do remember a relevant comment from an old curmudgeon named Brer' that turned out to be precient. He said: "longer is better " is generally true but not universally so. Not recognizing the difference has ruined many a biotech investment.
And of course that is relevant here to the "everyone is living longer" mantra.
