LOL - true. Backinnaday, the Digital Equipment PDP-11/780 and the follow-on VAX systems running the VMS OS all used a default password of FIELDSERVICE to allow DEC field service engineers to obtain admin-level access to the machines for maintenance or problems.

Many users, including Blue Chip universities, never removed that FIELDSERVICE backdoor password - and whenever one found a VMS OS system by dial-up modem, the cognoscenti would try FIELDSERVICE to get admin-level access and control, then run a list of usernames and retrieve the passwords file. Then you had all the users and their passwords. That's what you worked from - not wanting to highlight the backdoor lest it be closed (as you always wanted continued access to get updates on usernames and passwords).
