#147435 RE: This Causes an Error #147434

It seems that you are saying great thing about Intel with this release but in prior posts you were skeptical about Intel lead in process and Intel delaying 10nm parts and also delay in 7nm.
What has changed suddenly and overnight?
I am sure you knew about this release of so many CPUs. Just curious.
Based on slides posted by you, Intel is way ahead of foundries in process technology. And they are not even producing such complex CPUs to start with.

...but you can't infer relative performance of the Intel process vs the foundry processes..........do you have any published data? ......also, I saw some numbers regarding die size.......250mm^2 for I7 6900K and 125mm^2
for the 4 core I7.......are those reasonable?........we might finally be able to do a near 1/1 comparison (performance/size/density/cost) of at least the desktop parts when Ryzen finally gets released. I assume Intel is still not providing die size or transistor counts.........should be very interesting.........could end some myths regarding process and design.....or maybe NOT
