Well, not to go too far off into the woods, if you're on tv pitching products for 15 or 30 minutes, you have to pay, HSN will not take nothing if you sell nothing. Companies often put their own reps on to do the selling, but if you don't have camera-ready employees, break out the checkbook, those friendly QVC people are not working for you for free. Just watch the Honeymooners episode with Ralph and Norton trying to sell their product on tv to see what can happen with "regular" people. Set decoration? Up to SFOR. My point is that there are significant upfront costs that can only be offset by significant sales.
Anyway, I thought it was resolved that Mr. Kay was referring to internet tv advertising, which makes a lot more sense financially. Happy 2017 and let's get this SFOR party started.
