Thanks fwh, I thought I read tax loss selling ended on 12/23 from what someone posted. Hopefully the manipulation and tax loss selling ends soon.

But looking at the history that has never been the case here.
December this stock has a history of climbing and Jan is flat or down.

I don't think year end selling is as big as many wish it to be. After changing the wash trade rules it isn't wise to do if you don't want to exit a stock.
You can sell now but if you don't wait 30 days to buy the wash trade rules could screw you.
If you wait you could miss the boat.
And the capital losses from trading is limited to a pretty small amount. ($3k I think)

Funds won't bother. Most longs won't either.
