Frankie, I know what you're saying because right here in the supposedly "city", St. Petersburg, I've seen 'em myself on multiple occasions, over the years. Fortunately the ones I've seen were "babies" only 2-3 feet long or I might not be sending you this message now.

You have to figure if there is a drainage canal or small storm water runoff pond, they're in there. Small dogs and kids have to beware especially. I think I read recently a young woman jogging in Central Florida and one leaped out and grabbed her and dragged her in a pond. They like to take their prey down under the water and drown them.
