you bought a phone with no contract? did you do that just so you were not locked into a provider for 2 years? I would think that if things were going to move to cellular capabilities and apps for something like a motorcycle meter, that a driver would rather spend $200 on a phone, or get a phone for free with a 2 year contract than spend $125 on a moto meter. but that's obviously my opinion and I have no basis for the argument.
