Posting a technical question here, does anyone know why the Jan 18 2019 $5 call options have not moved in price at all, even after the sharp move in the underlying price of an avxl stock?

Well, the price most people quote is the last trade price. If there are no trades the price can grow "stale" and not reflect the actual market price. I am sure the bid and ask prices fluctuated according to demand. The midpoint of those prices is a good approximation of the actual price.

Edit: Notice you asked about 2019 options, I was responding more for 2017. The 2019's have a much further time delta and therefore will have slower rate of change with respect to the underlying price.

$5 call options - no one is selling and no one is buying it seems...

The number has increased by about one hundred since I last posted the count on the 9th.

If we run over $5 I'd speculated that the shorts own most of them.
