Yeah...sure...YOU BETCHA

Perhaps the Company wasn't able to fund the necessary Pilus Energy Trials under the circumstances that faced the company the past 18 months

except WHAT WAS THE EXCUSE BEFORE THAT???
I first came here well after the big hype about Pilus...
there had already been all the (phony????) PR's about the testing being done...
when I got here, people were just trying to find out if any testing was still going on...*cough*

The HISTORY shows pretty CLEARLY that there was plenty of BULLSHIT on that subject.
In FACT, an email was posted my Mr. "BOD" himself that proved that a lot of the HYPE was nothing more BULLSHIT...

The answer to #1 is most interesting...
as looking back through the history will show.

This is an email response from Prof Hassett

Dear XXXXXXXXX:

The following are my responses to your queries.

1.Is the 1,700,000 grant awarded last year still available or is it depleted by now? Anymore grants on the horizon?
ANSWER: I’m not sure where you received that information. We were never awarded $1,700,000. However, we were “encouraged” to submit a large ARPA-E grant in collaboration with Dale Schaefer in our Engineering Department. This is very good news. We had to submit a pre-proposal that passed the first round of cuts. Again, very good news!

2. Cracked EBR has slowed down testing, but by how much? In other words what phase were you hoping to be in at this point, but not due to delay.
ANSWER: The EBR’s we are currently using are in my lab. In fact, we have enough data now using synthetic urine as carbon source to submit a paper for publication. The power density that we get from our proprietary bacteria is ~3-fold the power of any EBR using urine to date.

3.Since last june Have the 5 phases been redefined or changed in anyway for whatever reason? (good or bad)
ANSWER: We are focusing on the urine based EBR because it has tremendous potential for remediation but also for use in “porta-potty’s.” I have designed a plan to have a lab-scale porta-potty built that not only has EBR capacity, but also incorporating solar and wind power.

4. Can you elaborate or define this "FASTER PATH to commercialization as she describes it (see below- highlighted)?
ANSWER: Because we are currently focusing on urine, we believe that this leap will allow us to indeed pursue a “faster path” to commercialization.

I hope this helps you!

Sincerely,

Whatta surprise???
NOT!
