QUALCOMM seems to be losing the battle for mind share!
Both W-CDMA/gsm and TD-SCDMA/gsm are much better system migration paths; QUALCOMM has succeeded in alienating both the Koreans and Chinese - I honestly don't know where they're going to get support (other than from Issa on Iraq -VBG).
Another thing I don't get is why folks here are against W-CDMA; then again, there's a lot I don't get about QCOM investors... It seems they're still fighting yesterday's battles - shows a definite lack of sophistication and maturity by both investors and the company (assuming the company has the same adversarial approach, which I think is a safe assumption). This is undoubtedly the reason they can't sell into Europe!
