Rob V, neither WCDMA nor TD-SCDMA is an evolutionary path from GSM. I realize that you used migration not evolution but in either case the path from GSM to all flavors of CDMA ends with the intoduction of CDMA. Naturally you left GSM1X out of the discussion, which of course does migrate GSM users to CDMA data!

<QUALCOMM has succeeded in alienating both the Koreans and Chinese>

I can see you are spreading your FUDD around. <ng> How has QCOM allienated the Koreans or Chinese? In fact it is just the opposite. Do you really think KTF or Unicom would continue with brew if what you say is true? Would Unicom continue to expand their CDMA network? Would KTF & SKT have gone EV DO? I think not.

Most Q investors aren't against WCDMA, it is just not as solid a choice as CDMA2000 is. KDDI's success in Japan is the perfect example of where the consumer has picked CDMA2000 over FOMA/WCDMA.

The fact that you think TS-SCDMA is a better migration path than CDMA2000 says a lot of your lack of knowledge in CDMA. I'll leave it at that FUDDSTER.
