Maybe yes, maybe no. It will most definitely raise the cost of financing, which will result in more dilution of value to each shareholder. And a lower stock price may also make it more difficult to negotiate a buy-out, since a potential buyer will use the existing stock price as the starting point.

The caveat is a situation where there is multiple bidders and events unfold rather quickly. I intend to ask about this at the shareholders meeting.
