imo, good trade for Chicago. There are some concerns about Wade, he was on the DL twice last year with the forearm problem, and the 40+ innings he pitcher were a clear step or two down from the supreme level he pitched prior to that. So some risk there. But flip side is.....well, they are only giving up Soler for the risk. And if Davis returns to his form of the past several years, Cubs are getting as good a relief pitcher as there is, and he's still pretty young at 31. Although contract runs out next year.

Soler is a guy who supposedly had lots of potential, but hasnt really shown it yet, and he is now 25. Not a speed guy and as far as I can tell not great defensively. He'll get a chance in KC as a starter, but I have little faith in Soler's abilities other than as a mid level player at best.

Unfortunately for the Royals, I think they would have been able to have gotten a lot more if it werent for last years injury problems for Davis.
