I know the DOD procurement cycle. You don't. They will follow Congressional law, rule making and regulations. Last year's revisions now give small businesses an equal chance to compete for a slice of the DOD pie. SFOR by SBA definition is a small business. Their DC based Government distributor made a sales presentation to the DOD/CIO. Consequently, their military-grade cyber defensive solution to the DOD mobile device COMSEC problem must, by law, be considered along with others. Once H.R. 5293 the DOD Appropriations Act of 2017 is signed into law the DOD will be able to make a large scale purchase of the chosen vendor's defensive software to fix the problem. SFOR is competing for that DOD contract and now has a fair chance of being selected as do their competitors. It is now, by SBA initiated law, a level playing field. The dots are pretty obvious to me!
