I don't think there is anything wrong with the email. The way I am understanding it is that there is another law firm that is handling the RM, and that it has not closed yet, nor will it be done today.

It doesn't say that the RM is cancelled nor does it specify when it will close.

Very neutral email, but it seems that MMs shook it down making it seem like it's bad news. To each their own.
