Many automakers have been around for years and died off.

Historically even the survivors Ford/GM/Chrysler have been poor investments. General Motors declared bankruptcy a few years ago.

Eshelman was around for a decade. Good investment?

Awards, accolades, etc. are all explanations for Tesla's extremely high valuation considering its sales, earnings, etc.

What percentage of automakers have survived and been good investments?
