OT -- Tex. Yeah, I've been on that trip 5 times over the years and it is just the most spectacular of trips, for sure. I've always ponied up the extra dough for the parlor car (the Alamosa) which provides a better and less crowded view. Been to Mesa Verde an equal number of times. Seems to me that the ruins have had many, many scrapes with fire over the years. I remember seeing reports from there last year as well. The most spectacular of the ruins can't be damaged too badly, they're all solid rock to begin with.
Hope to go back there with all my PWTC profits one of these days. LOL on the outside -- NOT on the inside.
