One more time: The democrats took control of both the senate and the house in Jan 2007, well before the market tanked and the economy went to hell in late 2008-09. Pelosi and Reid were majority leaders- what a joke that pair were. Here's a link:

You may want to educate yourself. The stock market crashed in 2000 during Clinton. This led to the March 2001 recession.
