Mog,

Just for your info, a small piece you are missing terribly:

For a listed company, if there is ongoing negotiation for an acquisition, a merger...whatever
Once there is a leak or a rumor in the market (which was the case for AMRN), THEY ARE OBLIGED BY LAW to inform the public about this and they should be transparent and clear: we are in negotiation or we decided not to take this further as it it was below our valuation

SINCE
we haven't heard anything, that means there were no negotiation, no offer, none came in with an offer to trigger negotiation

So please you can go back to your hibernation now, it was so quite in here with your parasites and as always none sense bla bla bla bla

Do you really think that if JZ wanted $30/share he would have been out there saying $30/share? More likely, he would have been saying nothing less than $45. But I'm sure you understand the basics of negotiation much better than JZ.

M-

Because a formal offer is the last step in the negotiation process.

Yeah ... everything agreed, the official offer is formal only, the deal will be done ... just like between Pfizer and AstraZeneca ... Offer was $119 billion vs $71.86 billion MC now ... Again: management "claim" could not stop a potential buyer to make an offer and no offer was submitted. The reason could be one thing only: the rumor does not have any background, since if any Co was really interested they could not lose anything with an offer (independently from management claim).

Best,
G

You were definitely not there when HDG, I and JZ were tallying up the BO offers..I can remember it very well..It didnm't take us to weeks to say no to all those hundred dollar offers..We were too greedy..
