agreed. that was my read on it.
seemed likely to me at the time that the little chart was winning midday
with a decent shot at closing above 214
if not spot-on at max pain 214.

the news caused an unexpectedly 180 in sentiment
and the steepness suggests algos
vs organic dissemination of news.

but is not to say that the smaller charts didn't show me the same thing

in fact my first call was based on seeing the ST action (a call with "bugs", but nevertheless worked out), totally disregarding bigger charts (thus I would say a "quickie" meaning don't dream about forevermore and if you see a profit take it and buy your beer)

fwiw bad news can and has been used any way the rulers want, so to that effect any "news" could've just as well take SPY higher, so in the end news are irrelevant tools used for manipulations and entrapment and the TA wins imo

When TA didn't see something it means that the wrong TA was applied or used or looked at - yes I also make that mistake more than I would like to admit
