I am not sure why you want to press the point this far. But okay. First, can you explain why you contend that restoring harmonics lost in compression is a fanciful claim? Seems to me that it isn't. It isn't splitting the atom or landing on the moon, but it isn't absurd. But I stand to be corrected. Fire away.
Is it possible that you are confusing this with lossless copying claims /generation loss?
