Good question, much as I've come to expect of you.

OPEC's history is not one engendering trust, by any means. So I disregard it altogether. And I do mean that.

I believe that what we have right now is optimism on the part of politicians and energy-sector investors. Whooping things up with unfounded enthusiasm is highly irrational in my book.

So, over the past week or so I've reduced a few holdings in order to take some profits off the table. The money sits idly and that's exactly how I will continue to maintain things for now. Should the $hit hit the fan with OPEC's resolve to slow or cap production thus collapsing in public view, I'll be ready to pounce on new lows.

For now, though, I believe nothing at all has changed on the global energy platform.
