Ziggy, if Anavex would agree to sell XX% to BP, the price would be many times higher than the price on the exchange at that point in time.

Why? Because if BP wants a piece of Anavex, it is privy to the undisclosed data of any of the trials and, as such, it knows the beneficial powers of 2-73 to address a myriad of diseases and that Anavex has a gold mine in 2-73, and, eventually, in 3-71.

Where the price goes, after such an agreement is announced, does not mean the BP buy is dilutive.

What is greater 100% of slowly growing sales as Anavex ramps up a sales force, or 50% of world wide penetration in a few months? You have to remember the immense size of the Alzheimer's market, and MS too for that matter.

Then there is the advantage of the up front payment that will restart the R&D process on 3-71 and other compounds that are not licensed.

ffrol is right, it's a complicated calculation and I'm sure Missling and the BOD have looked at all the angles.
