I agree! Publicly traded companies issue stock to raise capital to develop the business. Those companies that execute well and have a good business plan will generate shareholder value by making good use of the capital raised. One needs patience and persistence. This is a passive investment for all of those besides the insiders. Pissing and moaning about share price, dilution or "Vampires of the Short Cabal" mean nothing to the development of the company. If one takes a five year or longer time horizon these seemingly large swings in share price might look like little bumps. An investor MIGHT just continue to build a position in the stock over time adding shares by averaging in over time. A trader might do better over the short term by actively trading the stock but over the long term buying and holding good companies has proven results. AVXL has a lot of skilled traders involved but those that buy and hold and add over time might be similarly rewarded. One needs confidence in the business plan and the skill of the management team.

I'm getting a little tired of the obfuscation concerning 'dilution' that has yet to occur here. A far more primary likelihood is a partnership with BP and upfront mega spondoolies!!! Dr M has clearly stated this to be his aim. Dilution! R/S! Scam! Pffft
