My friend sent me a poster that Anavex presented in February that I totally forgot about. Looks like 2-73 protects OLs from cell death in vitro. And other sigma-1 receptor agonists did it too, but 2-73 reduced cell death the most. The fact that we see this with more than just 2-73 and with other agonists in the same category seems promising to me.
