GMO Maize has Bt toxin inherent within each cell of the plant, so they don't have to use as many insecticides. The corn itself is just as toxic as conventional corn that is sprayed with insecticides. You can wash off those types, Bt is in each cell of the plant so you ingest it whether you wash the corn or not. GMO Bt has shown that is destroys our gut flora thru the shikimate pathway that is used by our bacteria.
